Kodak launches Prinergy 11.0, a new version of its benchmark workflow software. Designed to meet the demands of today's printers, this version boasts enhanced automation and connectivity, as well as improved security and color management.
Advanced automation at the heart of Prinergy 11.0
This new version introduces even more powerful, scalable workflow automation thanks to rules-based functionality (RBA). This technology automates repetitive tasks and optimizes production processes, reducing manual intervention and the risk of errors. By integrating tools such as Virtual Proofing Software Plus (VPS+), users should benefit from a simplified experience for digital proof management, essential for hybrid or purely digital workflows.
Enhanced connectivity with digital presses
Prinergy 11.0's extended compatibility with virtually all third-party software and hardware, and its ability to connect to the widest range of digital presses, including Kodak Prosper machines, is the other major new feature.
According to Kodak, this development offers printers unified management of their digital and analog equipment, facilitating the transition to hybrid production environments. In particular, direct support for Prosper equipment optimizes workflows for high-volume or highly personalized applications.
Integration of calibration curves for precise color management
Another notable development is the import of Harmony calibration curves into Kodak Colorflow software. This color management tool guarantees enhanced accuracy for both digital and analog printing. By centralizing this data within Prinergy, printers save time while ensuring consistent quality across all media.
Enhanced safety and user-friendliness
In response to the growing challenges of cybersecurity in the graphics industry, Kodak has integrated new features to reinforce data and workflow protection. Version 11.0 also offers a redesigned interface for simplified use, enabling rapid adoption by existing teams.
