Corrugated Board: Progroup continues to grow in Germany and France

Progroup is one of the leading manufacturers of corrugated sheets in Europe.

Progroup announces the construction of a new PW15 sheet feeder plant in southwest Germany. The company is investing more than 90 million euros in the new plant, which will produce up to 500 million square meters of corrugated sheetboards per year. Around 60 new jobs will be created on approximately 28,000 square meters.

A new packaging park

The production site is built close to the factory of the packaging manufacturer G&G Preiser. Maximilian Heindl, Head of Development and Vice Chairman of the Board of Management of Progroup, explains that a new packaging park is being created at this site through the cooperation of the two companies.

"This proximity to G&G Preiser was decisive in our decision for the site. We see in the gearing of our logistics and production processes that we can act in a more sustainable and efficient way.»

Progroup's ambition is to achieve a CO2-neutral circular economy in the long term. This includes energy solutions that reduce heating in winter and air conditioning in summer.

Growth of Progroup, especially in the north of France

With this new location, Progroup continues to pursue its growth ambition. Jürgen Heindl, Chairman of the Board of Management of Progroup, explains: "With PW15, Progroup not only strengthens the Palatinate location, but also expands its market position in northern France and southern Germany.

Until 2024, four large plants will be commissioned in Poland, Germany, France and Italy, which will further advance Progroup's growth in the various markets.
