With this latest Canon four times faster than their previous plotter, the company from Haute-Savoie increases its production capacity and reduces its delivery times.

The brand new Colorado 1630 from Canon is in service in the workshops of Doc Factory, located in Annecy, Haute-Savoie. Released last May, the Colorado 1630 is a UVgel CMYK roll-to-roll digital printer of 1625 mm width. Adapted to the reduced spaces, it keeps all the advantages of its sister the Colorado 1650.

Thanks to the advice of CLUB Group, a company that markets large format printing solutions, the replacement of this machine is now in line with the productivity and objectives of the company.

Doc Factory was originally, in 1999, entirely dedicated to the reprography of documents. Over the years, the Annecy-based company has turned to digital printing and large format printing, specializing more particularly in the production of solutions for dressing up stands for fairs and exhibitions.
Today, with a team of five people, the digital print shop offers a wide range of communication supports in these sectors.

Fourfold increase in print speed with the latest Colorado 1630

Last July, its two-year-old large format printer was replaced by Canon's Colorado 1630.

"Indeed, our previous digital printing machine was not old, but with the resumption of trade shows, we quickly ran out of production capacity." recalls the manager Laurent Vesin. "With the Colorado, we went from a print speed of 12 m 2 /h at a speed of 40 m 2 /h (in production mode)."

Compatible with virtually any type of flexible media, Doc Factory's Colorado supports a wide range of substrates, including 240 gsm adhesive sheeting 2 : "This machine mainly produces our Deco Kits. Kits measuring 95 cm by 225 cm that we have created for trade show booths. These adhesive prints require a lot of responsiveness and the Colorado fits the bill perfectly."

Doc Factory's next investment should be a new cutting table to keep up with Canon's production.
