German ink manufacturer hubergroup is offering a new range of mineral oil-free sheetfed offset inks. Called Rapida eco, this vegetable oil-based range is based on the Rapido fast-drying four-color range.
"It was important to us that customers who place a high value on fast printing could also choose a durable option, says Josef Sutter, Huber's product manager for foil/UV Europe. So we decided to reformulate our fastest sheetfed ink line. It was not an easy task, but we are delighted to have met the challenge. We can now offer our customers one of the fastest vegetable-based inks on the market for sheetfed offset printing."
According to the group, the Rapido Eco series of inks allows, like its predecessor, finishing immediately after printing the paper. In addition, the ink can be used in hot regions of the world.
Josef Sutter assures: "Of course, Rapida Eco also exhibits excellent print performance, and printers who already use Rapida have no need to make any changes to their processes."
