SPP Numerical moves up a gear with its new Agfa

Three weeks after its installation, the printing plant doubled its printing volume!

After an Anapurna H2500i acquired in 2018, the printing company located in Périgueux in the Dordogne region of France, SPP Numérique, installed a second 2.5-meter-wide UV led hybrid inkjet printer, Agfa's Jeti Tauro H2500 led, in August.

The 14-employee company specializes in small and large formats for national markets. And since the beginning of the year, it has often found itself short of production capacity. "We had peak production of 12/13 hours per day on Anapurna." remembers Maximilien Bouhours, the company's director.

The new Jeti Tauro press, which is four times faster than the Anapurna, allows the printer to respond to this increase in demand, still with a high level of reactivity, but it also allows him to respond to larger orders in terms of print runs. "With the Jeti Tauro, we can also expand into the POP carton market." adds the printer.

And after only three weeks of installation, the Jeti Tauro is doing its job perfectly. "We already have orders that we wouldn't have been able to get without this Agfa, mainly high-volume cardboard POPs and high quality window displays. With this spike in business doubling our print volumes, there are currently 19 of us working!"

The current investment plan of more than half a million euros will continue in early 2022 with the arrival of a second digital cutting machine to keep pace with the workshop's increased capacity. And if the activity is maintained, three people will be hired.
