The American fast-food giant is showing off its new campaign, pumped up.

Offer "bubbles of joy

To promote the opening of several of its stores in Canada, the McDonald's group is offering " bubbles of joy "to its consumers. Its new poster campaign uses the same codes as its previous visual communications, except for one detail: hamburgers, fries, and other emblematic products of the brand are made of balloons! Such an event deserved to be celebrated in color and above all, with the essential festive accessory: the balloon.

Designed by Cossette, the " Large openings "has the ambition to announce these store openings (or reopenings after work) by sharing " the pleasure of celebrating ». Gone are the minimalist XXL visuals of Big Macs in close-up and in place of "bullism" with these amusing trompe-l'oeil.

Contrary to what one might expect, these visuals were not created in the kitchen of Photoshop or other special effects software. For a more realistic result, giving a real impression of volume and texture to the prints, the Cossette agency set up a monumental balloon installation in the studio, almost 3 meters high. The goal was to convey to the public all the joy and excitement that festive balloons represent.

Chuck Coolen, McDonald's Eastern Canada Marketing Manager, justifies this move by "the fact that making people smile is always an important mission, and it's even more important in today's circumstances. We are pleased to welcome our customers to our new restaurants by creating a friendly and welcoming environment through the creative approach of Grand Openings. »
