The latest figures for printed advertising in France

Idep reveals the numerical evolution of the printing market by sector in its latest economic letter of October 2021.

In his latest Economic letter published in October 2021, the Institute for Development and Expertise in Plurimedia (Idep) unveils the figures for print production by market in France for the first half of 2021.

The Institute points out that, despite the fourth epidemic wave this summer, the expansion of vaccination coverage has greatly reduced the economic impact of the virus. In July and August 2021, the economic activity, considered as a whole, would have continued to progress, to be relatively close to its pre-crisis level, reports the Idep.

In the first half of 2021, all the printing markets are up, with the exception of unaddressed printed advertising, which is down 1%, compared to the first half of 2020. In April, May and June 2021, production, all markets combined, increased by 31% and invoicing by 29%, says Idep. Print imports (all markets) also rose 19 percent in the first half of the year, and exports rose 23 percent.
