EFI unveiled in October its new digital print server and workflow solutions for signage and industrial printing, EFI Fiery XF/Fiery proServer version 7.3 and EFI Fiery Prep-it workflow software.
Fiery XF 7.3 with Prep-it addresses the needs of printers with a large number of large-format and very large-format inkjet printers and cutters who want a single digital print server and automated workflow software.
About 100 new printers supported
More than 180 new printer drivers are supported by the Fiery XF 7.3 software and the EFI Fiery proServer digital print server: Agfa, Canon, d.gen, Durst, HP, Mimaki, Mutoh, Roland DG and Teckwin.
Among the benefits of the new solutions, EFI says it offers more efficient and flexible printing and trimming with the ability to match printing and die-cutting equipment; and faster, more powerful color management that can reduce processing time for jobs that include spot colors by more than 50 percent.
Automated cutting production and cutting path control
The new EFI Fiery Prep-it software, launched in November, can also improve cutter preparation and production in large and very large format: automated workflows, double-sided nesting control, advanced cutter path modification, and more significant acceleration of production from print to cut.
Fiery XF 7.3 also offers two versions more specifically optimized for the needs of the proofing and production markets.
