Bobst is launching a new version of its modular Expertfold folder-gluer. This new Expertfoldeuros165, wider and with a speed of up to 250 m/minute, has been specifically designed for the folding-gluing of cardboard boxes for the e-business.
The special feature of this 165 version is that it is equipped with two new modules, the Polyvacuum and the Gyrobox, which until now have only been available on the Masterfold 170 and 230. "These modules allow for the production of e-commerce and other complex and versatile boxes in a single pass, providing the ability to produce a wider range of boxes, while reducing costs." says the Swiss manufacturer.
The Polyvacuum module allows the adaptation of special folding devices as well as in-line tape and adhesive tape applicators.
With the Gyrobox system, boxes that normally require two passes are made in a single pass, by rotating the boxes at angles ranging from 0 to 180° in the direction of travel.
Pierre Binggeli, Bobst Folder Gluer product line manager, adds: "The Expertfold 165 e-commerce produces a wide range of boxes in a single production line, with optimal efficiency, even for complex boxes. In addition, its easy-to-use technology reduces set-up times and optimizes production time, adding even more value to converters. As with all Bobst machines, the complex technology is simplified by a user-friendly interface and configuration is easy."
