Domino launches two new printers for thermal transfer coding

This new range of thermal transfer coders is designed for flexible packaging.

Domino Printing launches two new models of thermal transfer (TTO) coders for flexible food packaging lines, with the Vx Series. These new Vx Series printers enable coding to be printed on bottles, films, wrapping paper, sachets and stickpacks

The Vx Series has been designed to reduce ribbon requirements by up to 60%, thanks to four print modes, and offers high quality, up to 300 dpi. Fully electric, it requires no compressed air, reducing energy requirements and operating costs.

The Vx Series currently includes two printers: the Vx150i, which offers print speeds of up to six prints per second with a maximum print size of 53x100 mm, and the Vx50i, which goes up to four prints per second with a print size of up to 32x55 mm.

Tests were carried out at Woochun Foods Company, a Korean tofu manufacturer and packaging supplier to many of Korea's leading food brands. Convinced by its performance, the company has already placed an order for a printer. A spokesman for Woochun Foods Company, who says he is impressed by the Vx150i printer's performance, explains: "The printer is very easy to use and delivers consistently high quality prints, even in ribbon-saving mode."
