CCL to open a new label plant in Italy

Example of finishing at the future CCL Label plant

This second Italian site is part of our strategy to have plants close to customers for our wine, spirits and other beverage brands.

Canadian label giant CCL Industries is to open a brand-new label production facility for the spirits and beverage industry in Novi Ligure, northern Italy. The transformation of the 4,000 m 2 acquired by CCL Label began this month, with production scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2024.

The new plant will be the Food & Beverage division's second Italian site. The CCL Industrie group, which employs over 25,300 people, acquired a pouch production plant last June, Pouch Partners (renamed CCL Specialty Pouches).

Reinhard Streit, Vice President and General Manager Food & Beverages, explains in a press release that this new presence in Italy is part of his strategy to have a production site in the immediate vicinity of major brand customers, and to offer them the possibility of sourcing locally. It sees the Novi Ligure plant as offering great potential in the field of wines and spirits and other beverages for world-renowned brands.

The new Italian plant will produce high-quality self-adhesive labels in a wide range of finishes "Whether it's holographic features, a unique label design with embellishments, or custom or interactive labeling, anything is possible to produce a label that will help our customers' products stand out on the shelf." he adds.
