Feedback from experience / Fujifilm's Acuity Prime 30, the competitive edge for Italian printer Byblos

The investment in the Acuity Prime 30 boosts the Italian printing company's creative potential and has transformed its production process, thanks to its high speed and print quality.

Last May, Italian printer Byblos installed Fujifilm's Acuity Prime 30 large-format hybrid printing table. Motivated by its desire to offer superior quality and new types of media and finishing, the Turin-based company chose the maximum configuration in seven ink channels (CMYK, white, varnish and primer). General Manager Alessandro Conte shares his experience of these first months of use.

"The Acuity Prime has transformed our production process and enabled us to better meet the ever-changing needs of our customers." he explains. This transformation is due in particular to the high speed, 150 m 2 /h, and the new machine's print quality of 726 x 1,200 dpi.

And thanks to the machine's UV led ink and the use of a primer, the Acuity Prime 30 enabled Byblos to work on a variety of metals and glass.
What's more, the print resists the effects of chemicals and cleaning products, opening the way to new applications.
Byblos is also now able to offer both matte and gloss finishes.

"Thanks to its unrivalled print quality and compatibility with a variety of materials, we exceed our customers' expectations." adds the executive. "We can now deliver quality custom prints in shorter lead times and deploy our creativity by printing on unconventional materials. This gives us a competitive edge in the market."
