Fujifilm has chosen Fespa 2025, to be held from May 6 to 9 in Berlin, Germany, to present the Acuity Ultra Hybrid Pro in its new version equipped with a complete automation system. Unveiled alongside the HS3000 single-pass press developed with Barberan and acuity Triton and its Aquafuze technology this configuration is designed to enhance the hybrid machine's production capabilities on rigid supports, while retaining its versatility.
Adaptable automation of rigid supports
This automation system enables end-to-end management of rigid media processing, from pallet to post-printing rework. Fujifilm announces that a single operator is now able to control the entire process, thanks to feeding, loading, unloading and stacking modules integrated into the line. Automation can be partial or total, depending on site requirements.
With a web width of 3.3 meters, the Acuity Ultra Hybrid Pro retains the technical specifications of the Ultra range, while incorporating components suitable for intensive use. The press can be equipped with up to 32 Kyocera print heads, each offering a constant drop size of 3.5 picoliters and up to 10,624 nozzles per color.
Fine-drop technology keeps ink consumption low while producing high-definition images, a key factor in high-value-added segments, says the manufacturer.
The hybrid printer uses a UV ink specifically formulated to guarantee adhesion to a wide range of substrates, both rigid and flexible. The ink set includes CMYK, light colors Cc, Mc and a covering white.

Fujifilm has also equipped the large-format machine with a quick-print option, with a small-format reel embedded in the table, to facilitate the production of short runs on rolls without the need to reconfigure the machine.
The machine targets printers faced with pressure on deadlines and volumes, enabling them to increase their capacity without having to mobilize more staff. This positioning is designed to meet the growing demand for medium- to large-scale customized printing on rigid panels.
The automated version of the Acuity Ultra Hybrid Pro will go on sale shortly after the show.
