Preview: Fujifilm presents the Acuity Triton with its Aquafuze hybrid ink

Fujifilm's LAcuity Triton

With the Acuity Triton and its Aquafuze ink, Fujifilm offers a 1.6-meter wide, instant-dry inkjet printer for printing on a wide variety of substrates, without primer or varnish.

Fujfilim will unveil its new inkjet printer for the first time at Fespa 2025, with the presentation of the Acuity Triton. This 1.6 m wide inkjet printer is the first to incorporate Aquafuze technology, developed in-house and the result of over a decade of research. The Acuity Triton will be one of two solutions unveiled by Fujifilm in Berlin from May 6 to 9, 2025.

Aquafuze, the low-temperature hybrid ink

Triton's new Aquafuze ink combines the properties of water-based inks and UV led technology. Aquafuze enables direct printing on a wide variety of substrates without pre-coating or top-coating, with low-temperature curing. This process reduces energy consumption while minimizing stress on heat-sensitive materials.

The ink generates a thin film with a smooth, scratch-resistant feel. The resulting prints are suitable for indoor and outdoor use, and have a low odor. The process also reduces the risk of head clogging, improving jet stability and production regularity.

Acuity Triton, press designed for mixed structures

Manufactured by Mutoh for Fujifilm, the Acuity Triton reaches maximum speeds of 15 m 2 /h. This large-format press is designed for workshops looking for a compact, energy-efficient machine.
Thanks to low-temperature led drying, it can be used on heat-sensitive substrates while allowing immediate shaping.

The Acuity Triton will be distributed through the Fujifilm dealer network, according to a progressive launch schedule by geographical zone. Further information is available on stand A61, where demonstrations are scheduled throughout the show.
