Fujifilm presents the Jet Press 1160CF for the book and direct mail market

Fujifilm will present its Jet Press 1160CF inkjet press at an online event on July 9 and 10. Already installed in Asia, this digital web press completes the range unveiled at Drupa 2024 for printing books, direct mail and transactional documents.

After the Jet Press 1160CFG presented at Drupa 2024, Fujifilm is expanding its range of continuous inkjet presses with a new model, the Jet Press 1160CF, which will be presented to European professionals online from Japan on July 9 and 10.

Already installed in several Asia-Pacific countries, where Fujifilm boasts over 200 continuous feed inkjet systems, the Jet Press 1160CF is designed for the transactional, transpromo, book, magazine and direct mail markets.

The Jet Press 1160CF, special inks and a compact footprint

The Jet Press 1160CF uses a proprietary ink formulation that enables printing on uncoated and matt-coated papers, with a rendering claimed by the Japanese manufacturer to be consistent, without any pre-treatment of the substrate.

The inkjet press features a compact footprint and low energy consumption, while integrating inline finishing options.

Here, Fujifilm is targeting the need for high productivity in a limited space, with a configuration advertised as adaptable to high volumes.

Jet Press 1160CFG, an offset media stabilizer

Presented at Drupa 2024, its big sister, the Jet Press 1160CFG, is an optimized model with all the technical features of the CF model, plus a paper stabilizer developed by Fujifilm. This module enables the passage of standard offset papers, avoiding distortion due to humidity or speed, for applications geared towards the printing of quality books or magazines.

The online presentation will detail the differences between the new Jet Press 1160CF and the already launched Jet Press 1160CFG.

The two presses presented online with demonstrations

The online program from Japan on July 9 and 10 will feature live demonstrations of both models, accompanied by technical insights into the software and robotic features integrated into Fujifilm's Future Edge Smart Factory environment. Feedback from Asian users will illustrate the uses already established.

Mark Stephenson, Head of Business Development at Fujifilm Europe, will be taking part in the sessions, commenting on technical issues and the manufacturer's position in the European market.
