Single-pass inkjet: Fujifilm presents the HS3000 at Fespa 2025

Developed with Barberan, the new HS3000 press, which will be unveiled for the first time at Fespa Berlin 2025, is more compact and accessible than the HS6000, and can be custom-configured to 216 models.

In addition to acuity Triton and its Aquafuze ink, Fujifilm will unveil the HS3000 at Fespa 2025, to be held from May 6 to 9, 2025 in Berlin, Germany. This single-pass inkjet press, developed in collaboration with Spanish manufacturer Barberan, is a more compact and affordable model than the HS6000, launched at Drupa 2024 and designed for very high volumes. It will go on sale at the event.

Fujifilm's HS3000 press, an affordable model with 216 configurations

The HS3000 is distinguished first and foremost by its format and positioning. Less cumbersome than the HS6000, it is designed for signage and large-format display printers seeking access to inkjet performance in a single pass, without investing in a heavy industrial production line. Although exact dimensions have not yet been announced, this press retains the fundamentals of the series: image quality, high speed and modularity.

Designed for mid-range speeds, the HS3000 can reach up to 2,000 panels/hour in automated production, depending on the configuration chosen. Fujifilm indicates that a version with manual feed can also be offered, with a speed of around 600 panels/hour.

Numerous other options enable the machine to be adapted to the specific needs of printers, with a total of 216 possible configurations combining feeder, primer, print engine, overprint varnish and stacker.

600 DPI printheads and Fujifilm inks

The HS series is based on the integration of new high-resolution 600 DPI inkjet printheads, with 5 picoliter droplets. This finesse enables higher image quality than that generally available on single-pass systems, while maintaining high production speeds, says the Japanese manufacturer.

The HS3000 inkjet press accepts a variety of substrates without the need for priming, thanks to specially formulated ink sets. According to Fujifilm, this capability reduces consumables, cuts energy consumption and lowers unit cost per print. Prints can be produced with or without varnish, depending on finishing requirements.

HS3000 configuration simulation at Fespa 2025

To enable professionals to evaluate the various options, Fujifilm will be offering an interactive configurator on its stand, enabling them to simulate a customized HS3000, according to technical needs and production constraints. At the same time, the manufacturer plans to organize a series of open days this summer to present the machine in real-life conditions.
