Fujifilm launches Acuity Aristo, its inkjet platform based on the HS Series project

Fujifilm structures its new large-format inkjet offering under the name Acuity Aristo. Presented in July in Barcelona, this range is aimed at very high-volume signage printers.

Fujifilm is stepping up the marketing of its single-pass inkjet platform developed in partnership with Spain's Barberán. Renamed Acuity Aristo, this range previously known as the HS Series now enters the marketing phase under its definitive name.

The partnership between Fujifilm and the Spanish manufacturer dates back three years. Barberán, renowned for its expertise in high-speed mechanical printing in the corrugated board, signage and decorative printing sectors, handled the mechanical engineering with inkjet technology, while Fujifilm took charge of ink formulation and machine marketing.

Acuity Aristo HS6000 and HS3000 in production for the first time

On July 8 and 9, for the first time, a selection of customers attended demonstrations of the two models in the range: the Acuity Aristo HS6000 and the Acuity Aristo HS3000. These printers target the very large-format signage and display market, with speeds adapted to industrial environments.

HS6000 model reaches speeds of 6,000 m 2 /hour. It prints on formats up to 170 x 300 cm, depending on feeder configuration. In manual mode, output is 600 sheets/hour, while a fully automated system could reach 2000 sheets/hour.
Designed for smaller volumes, the Acuity Aristo HS3000 has a more compact footprint and lower output rates .

The entire platform is designed to be modular, with over 200 possible configurations to suit production needs.

The first Acuity Aristo installation in the UK

The HS6000 machine used for the demonstrations was immediately dismantled at the end of the event, and shipped to the UK. It will be installed at Linney in Mansfield, one of the UK's largest print production sites. This will be the first commercial installation of an Acuity Aristo anywhere in the world.

This series completes Fujifilm's inkjet range, alongside the Acuity Prime (flatbed printers) and Acuity Ultra (UV led roll-fed machines).
