Fujifilm will apply a price increase to its offset plates and chemicals from May 2026. This measure concerns the entire European market, and is a continuation of a global decision taken by Fujifilm Business Innovation.
The Japanese manufacturer explains that it can no longer absorb the rising costs of raw materials, logistics and labor, despite internal actions on productivity and costs. The announced adjustments are reaching double-digit levels, with variations depending on the market.
This announcement resembles many others. Since the beginning of the year, its Belgian colleague Eco3 has already announced price increases for offset plates and chemicals, citing rising aluminum and converting costs.
And the rise in the price of plates adds to a series of increases also affecting substrates and inks .
As already announced, Navigator is increasing its UWF papers by 4 to 7% in April, and is already talking about further possible adjustments. Sappi is raising its woodfree coated ranges by 50 euros per ton and applying 7 to 10% increases to liner and label papers. Swedish papermaker SCA, for its part, is imposing an increase of 100 euros per tonne on its kraftliners in Europe.
German ink manufacturer Hubergroup is also adjusting its entire portfolio, due to changes in the cost of resins, solvents and pigments dependent on oil and gas markets.
