Agfa's new Anapurna H3200: improved productivity and quality for this hybrid press

The new version of the Anapurna H3200, to be unveiled at C!Print, is almost 70% faster in production mode than its predecessor.

Agfa presents the new generation of its Anapurna H3200 UV led printer. This new version of the six-color plus white large-format hybrid press "represents a significant leap forward in terms of printing speed and quality" announces the Belgian manufacturer.

"Since the launch of the first Anapurna over two decades ago, the printer family has undergone numerous improvements and extensions, says Philip Van der Auwera, Agfa's Sign & Display Product Manager. Renowned for its exceptional versatility and rock-solid reliability, the new version of the Anapurna H3200 now combines these attributes with increased productivity and improved quality."

The new Anapurna H3200 reaches 66 m2/hour

Compared to the previous model, the 3.2 m wide printer is almost 70% faster in production mode, thanks to new carriages and print engine. Print heads reach speeds of 66 m 2 /hour.

What's more, print quality is superior on both flexible and rigid materials. The modified print carriage also contributes to improved image quality, especially darker solid tones, Agfa points out.

The Anapurna is designed for high-quality printing on a wide range of applications, from uncoated rigid substrates such as corrugated board and plastic, to roll media such as film, vinyl, canvas and coated textiles.

Agfa has also equipped the large-format machine with a new continuous carton feeder, enabling up to four cartons to be printed simultaneously.

Agfa's new Anapurna H3200 will be on public display for the first time at the C!Print show in Lyon, which runs from February 6 to 8, 2024. It will be presented alongside the top-of-the-range Tauro H3300 HS hybrid printer, featuring a varnish printing option, and the flex roll-to-roll system a compact module that enables rapid changeover from rigid to flexible media.

Agfa will also be presenting its new Anapurna printer at the Fespa trade show in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, from March 19 to 22, 2024.
