Domino Mx series, the new label printers for logistics and distribution

Domino's Mx Series offers variable data management capabilities and extensive connectivity for greater supply chain visibility. Customers report printing speeds up to 10 times faster than previous systems.

Domino Printing offers new print-and-apply carton labeling systems for the logistics and distribution sector. This range, Domino's Mx Series, has been developed to automate coding for traceability purposes, and offer improved supply chain visibility for a variety of packaging and products, including beverages, electronics, food, tobacco and pharmaceuticals.

Two Domino Mx Series label printers

Compliant with the GS1 standard for products and pallets, Domino's Mx Series comprises the Mx350i-T for top, side or bottom labeling of cases, and the Mx350i-S & SP for front, back, top, side or corner labeling of cartons.

This range adapts to all production lines and features an integrated user interface.
It requires a smaller footprint (-16%) than previous systems, and is available in left- and right-hand versions, with 4" and 6" printhead options, and pad and oscillating applicators, with variants offering different operating modes.

Mx print & apply systems also feature variable data management capabilities and connectivity to collect and share data across supply chains. Advanced connectivity and configuration options include machine vision for automated code inspection and validation, and coding automation for enhanced data sharing, including integration with plant MES and ERP systems.

The Mx Series, 10 times faster

According to beta testers of these new print & apply label systems, the Mx has high-speed variable data printing capabilities from the printer, up to ten times faster than previous generation print & apply label systems, and they appreciate the enhanced connectivity options that facilitate data sharing.

"Reliable, consistent and accurate product labelling is essential for logistics", says Jan Lindgren, Director of Customer and Site Operations at Domino. " Our Industry 4.0-compatible Mx Series print-and-apply label systems were created to meet this need. They enable variable data coding, with labels printed to the customer's exact specifications, and offer connectivity options for seamless sharing with supply chain partners."

Further customizable features, including additional applicator types and other connectivity options, should be available shortly.
