Mark Andy's new 330 mm wide label press offers higher print resolution than other models in the range.

U.S.-based small-width press manufacturer Mark Andy releases a third model in its Digital Pro series of entry-level hybrid digital presses, the Digital Pro Plus.

Based on the Pro Series flexo platform, the Digital Pro Plus (or DPro Plus) is a CMYK dry toner press designed for label production in a wide range of sectors, including food, beverage, industrial, craft, healthcare and beauty.

Dry toner technology enables variable data elements to be printed. " Its variable data capability is perfectly suited to today's growing demand for shorter runs, more personalization and versioning, demanded by brands and print buyers alike." says Mark Andy.

Like the Digital Pro label press in the same range, the Plus model has a 330 mm web width. It offers superior print resolution, at 1,200 x 2,400 (vs. 1,200) equivalent to 3,600 DPI.

This new label press from Mark Andy achieves production speeds of up to 24 m/min on a variety of paper and film substrates.

Modular and compact, this CMYK digital press can be enhanced with flexo printing before or after the toner unit, cold foiling, laminating and semi-rotary die-cutting, slitting and other modules.

The Digital Pro Plus is a digital hybrid press "affordable and versatile with expandable capabilities to adapt to changing market demands, from roll-to-roll to a fully configured print and finish line in a single pass" according to Ben Luly, product manager for Mark Andy's digital presses.

The range also includes the Digital One and Digital Pro, installed more than 300 times worldwide since their launch in 2016.
