Object printing: Kebab HS triples speed on Mimaki UJF flatbed printer

Mimaki's new Kebab HS option not only enables 360-degree direct printing on cylindrical objects, but now also on inclined and tapered shapes, and is much faster than the previous model.

A new option, Kebab HS, is available on Mimaki's UJF UV flatbed printers. Introduced at Fespa, the Kebab HS option enables 360-degree printing on cylindrical or tapered objects such as bottles, cups, glasses and mugs.

It is the latest addition to the Kebab series of accessories for direct three-dimensional printing on objects. This series already equips nearly one in five UJF printers in the EMEA region, as Mimaki points out.

Based on the Kebab MkII, this new Kebab HS (HS for high speed) option is three times faster than the previous model, requiring only around 10 minutes to print each substrate.

The option also expands the application possibilities of UV printing, enabling the personalization of cylindrical and tapered items with sloping edges (with a maximum angle of 7.5 degrees).

The option is quick to install, requiring only the attachment of the main unit to the UJF series printing table.

The current Kebab MkII and Kebab MkII L options remain available. Mimaki recommends them to customers who print on small diameters (less than 50 mm) and materials longer than 280 mm.
