Specializing in sustainable packaging since 1935, VPK Group continues to optimize two of its production sites in Belgium with strategic investments in 2025. Present in 20 countries with 70 sites and 6,500 employees, the Group is banking on paper recycling to design packaging that is 100% recyclable and biodegradable. The aim of this new equipment is to improve the efficiency and flexibility of production lines to meet the growing needs of the corrugated packaging market.
A new Bobst case packer for the Oudegem site
The Oudegem production site for customized corrugated packaging will undergo significant modernization, with the replacement of two Langston case packers by a new Bobst 4-color casemaker. VPK is aiming for optimized print quality and greater precision in packaging converting.
Commissioning is scheduled for April 2025, and is expected to boost the site's productivity and production capacity.
A BHS corrugator to speed up production at Erembodegem
At the same time, VPK Belgium replaces its Italian Agnati corrugator at the Erembodegem site with a new corrugator from the German brand BHS.
This new line, which is part of a sustainability and industrial performance approach, will increase the site's overall capacity and improve the efficiency of operations. Installation is scheduled for summer 2025.
Controlled impact on delivery times
To ensure a seamless transition for its customers, VPK has implemented several measures. Part of the production will be brought forward and stored in external warehouses. In addition, other Group production sites will reserve capacity to absorb part of the demand during the installation phase of the new machines. This rigorous management is in line with the Group's commitment to guaranteeing optimum, reliable service to its partners.
