Flint Group sets course for Barcelona with FCM inks and Xeikon presses

Flint Group prepares for Labelexpo Europe 2025. FCM inks, dry toner presses and UV inkjet machines will be on display at the group's stand in Barcelona.

Change of scenery for Labelexpo Europe. After forty years in Brussels, the label trade show is moving to Barcelona, Spain. For Flint Group, this 2025 edition, to be held from September 16 to 19, marks its biggest-ever presence at the event. The printing ink manufacturer, with 5,000 employees and sales of 1.5 billion euros for 2024, will be presenting its latest advances via its Narrow Web and Digital (Xeikon) divisions.

New inks for food contact and recycling

Niklas Olsson, European Product Manager for the Narrow Web division, announces the launch of a new-generation UV Hg technology, developed for indirect food contact applications. This FCM (Food Contact Material) solution complements the Ancora EkoCure range, already installed at various European processors.

Flint Group will also be highlighting its Evolution Series, which includes a number of products to facilitate label recycling.

The American manufacturer will also be exhibiting the Vivo Colour Solutions platform, and in particular its new Vivo ColourMatch module, which enables better management of brand shades and faster return to the machine.

Three Xeikon presses on show

In digital printing, the Xeikon division will be demonstrating the LX3000 press, equipped with Cheetah 3.0 dry toner technology, aimed at converters seeking to limit their environmental impact on short runs, particularly in the food sector. It uses a new formulation of inks, dubbed ECO and heralded as more energy-efficient.

Visitors will also be able to see live the PX3300HD, designed for the cosmetics, beverage and industrial markets. This high-resolution UV-jet press is capable of printing finer text and smoother gradients, while maintaining production-compatible speeds, announces Xeikon.

Finally, the TX500 hybrid press featuring new Titon technology will be on show, with an inline metallization module developed in partnership with manufacturer Kurz. This system combines dry toner with metallic effects in a single pass. Aimed at premium segments (spirits, wines, cosmetics), this combination enables visual effects to be produced without compromising food compliance.

Experts in regulatory issues and responsible sourcing

Regulatory support will also be at the heart of the group's presence in Barcelona. Flint Group indicates that its team will be supported by international experts in compliance, product development and procurement. The aim is to provide visitors with concrete answers on FCM regulations, extended producer responsibility (EPR), and the safety of printed packaging for the food industry.

Flint Group CEO Pepyn Dinandt will be present at this year's event, which will be held at the Parc des expositions ( Fira de Barcelona) . The manager declares : "Labelexpo remains a valuable platform for engaging in in-depth discussions with printers and converters, and turning concrete needs from the field into workable solutions."
