On the occasion of its anniversary, the Riccobono Group announced a strategic shift marked by diversification into three industrial sectors. The daily press printer intends to combine the sustainability of its core business with growth in packaging, logistics and the medical sector.

125 years after its creation, the Riccobono Group has chosen to celebrate its anniversary by unveiling a major strategic reorganization. At an event held at the Atelier des Lumières in Paris on October 9, Guillaume Riccobono, Chairman of this family-run business, announced the expansion of the group's activities. After its core printing and logistics business, in which it is well established, Riccobono is now diversifying into packaging and medical devices.

Historically positioned in daily press printing, Riccobono, based in Baillargues (Hérault), is today one of the last groups to operate in an integrated way across the entire graphic production chain. Its activities cover web offset printing, finishing, routing and distribution. The group, which employs 2âeuros500 employees and has sales of almost 250 million euros, supports national, regional and specialized press titles, and also prints catalogs, magazines and supplements.

A strategy based on three areas of industrial development

The first lever for diversification is logistics. Through the Proximy entity acquired in 2021, the group is piloting a network of 1,200 delivery drivers in Ãle-de-France and Oise . This business focuses on the delivery of small parcels, in particular for e-commerce and telecoms.
And Riccobono now has national ambitions for this service.

The second axis is packaging. In 2024, Riccobono has registered a patent under the name Enduction Riccobono system ( ERS ) describing a process for manufacturing heat-sealable papers, positioned as alternatives to plastic film.
Today, the business has expanded to include the production of eco-responsible bags, made in France from these papers. Marketed under the name SEP (Seal Eco Paper), they offer a range of functional properties: breathable, silent, lightweight, soft or transparent.

Finally, the third project is a completely new field. Riccobono is entering the healthcare sector. At a site located at Raillencourt-Sainte-Olle in the Nord department of France, presented as ultra-modern, Riccobono is embarking on the production of medical devices, in particular incontinence products. It boasts high standards of traceability and innovation.

An anniversary also marked by memory and CSR commitment

To mark the anniversary, the group also unveiled a book entitled Enabling transmission to as many people as possible . This book retraces the history of the family business, which began in 1900, evoking the different generations, industrial developments and the values upheld by the group. Available in both paper and digital formats, it stands as a historical testimony.

In addition, the group announced that it had completed its carbon footprint and obtained the Positive Company CSR label. It is also preparing a plan to reduce CO2 emissions.

"We are launching a new era: one of strategic, controlled diversification, while consolidating our historic core businesses of press and graphic arts said Guillaume Riccobono. The future belongs to those who know how to honor their past while preparing the future every day."
