American manufacturer AstroNova expands its range of color inkjet printers for short-run corrugated board production with the AstroJet AJ-1300, the largest in its class.
THE AJ-1300 "bridges the gap between traditional pre-printed runs and the growing demand for localized, short-run or on-demand packaging." says Padraig Finn, Senior Vice President of AstroNova Product Identification. "Whether you're producing seasonal promotions, regional versions or packaging for direct sales, this printer offers agility, speed and cost-effectiveness, all with long-lasting inks."
The AstroJet 1300, a four-color press for plates up to 1300 mm wide, achieves a resolution of 1200 DPI and a speed of 27 meters per minute.
The press, which prints on 200 mm high and 1066 mm wide, f works with pigmented or tinted aqueous inks, suitable for food and retail packaging.
AstroNova is announcing production possibilities from 25 to 50 units, for applications such as personalized pizza boxes, packaging for takeaways or franchises, promotional campaigns or warning messages on industrial packaging.
