Société bretonne d'étiquettes (SBE), based in Pipriac, Ille-et-Vilaine, has just signed a purchase order for a Bobst Master M5 flexographic press. "This acquisition is part of our drive to strengthen our production capacity, while guaranteeing excellence, responsiveness and quality to our customers." says the manufacturer specializing in self-adhesive labels.
SBE, which produces 10 million square meters a year in flexo and digital printing, operates mainly in the food, industrial and cosmetics sectors. It is part of the Nantes-based Canopéo group, itself part of the Spanish Printeos group, which operates 21 production sites and has sales of 240 million euros.
The Master M5 was chosen for its high level of automation. Developed by the Swiss manufacturer, this flexographic press features automatic adjustment of pressure, register and tension, reducing operator intervention and makeready times.
Compatible with oneECG technology, the press accepts a wide variety of substrates, from flexible film to lightweight cardboard. It also features in-line finishing units, offering great flexibility in production configurations.
"SBE will benefit from the printing machine's high level of automation and versatility, which will help the company meet current and future market needs for fast, efficient production of high-tech labels and packaging." bobst assures us.
Carlos Coll, head of the Printeos Group's label division, emphasizes: " Bobst's ability to support our group in each of the countries where we operate is a strategic asset. Their international organization, combined with efficient local coordination, guarantees us consistent technical standards."
