Joana Vasconcelos signs the new Mouton Rothschild label

Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos has been chosen to illustrate the wine label for Château Mouton Rothschild 2023, with a work entitled Paraíso.
This is the first time since 1945 that a Portuguese artist has joined the prestigious collection initiated by Baron Philippe de Rothschild, which has already brought together such names as Picasso, Warhol and Eliasson. Faithful to her joyful, colorful universe, Joana Vasconcelos depicts the natural elements necessary for the birth of a great wine, in a composition evoking the balance between nature and human intervention.

Today the Cartonnerie Gondardennes receives a visit from the Minister of Industry

On Thursday December 11, 2025, Sébastien Martin, Minister Delegate for Industry, visited the Cartonnerie Gondardennes site in Wardrecques, Pas-de-Calais.
This visit comes just a few weeks after the company, which produces corrugated sheetboard, took part in the Grande Exposition du Fabriqué en France at the Élysée Palace in mid-November, where its C3RT (for recycled, reusable, recyclable and traceable corrugated board) was honored. On this occasion, Laurent Fischer, General Manager of Cartonnerie Gondardennes, was able to speak directly to President Emmanuel Macron about the challenges and prospects for the paper and cardboard industry.

400 participants and three awards at the annual Girls Who Print convention

Girls Who Print, a global network dedicated to the advancement of women in printing and graphic communications, revealed the winners of its 2025 Awards at its annual conference on November 13.

The virtual event attracted almost 400 registrants, including over 100 live participants on Zoom, generating nearly 900 online exchanges across the nine program sessions. A dozen speakers and panelists shared their expertise, reflecting the momentum generated by the international community.

The Girlie Award was presented to Ayanfeoluwa Ibitoye, Regional Director of Girls Who Print Africa, in recognition of her work in structuring an active network on the continent.
The Rising Star Award went to Tara Seth and Mackenzie Griffin, students and co-hosts of the Talk More Print podcast, both rising stars in the industry.
Finally, the Ally Award went to Neil Felton, CEO of Fespa, for his Print for Good initiative, which redirected 1.5 tons of printed materials to African schools in 2024.

Girls Who Print has also announced the launch in 2026 of the ARC (Advancement Resource Center), a comprehensive career development platform built around mentoring, training (The Print University), coaching and collaboration.

More fear than harm: Agfa closes investigation into cybersecurity incident

Agfa has announced the closure of the investigation into the cybersecurity incident that occurred in November 2025. According to the findings of its internal teams and external experts, the cybercriminals only accessed old, non-sensitive data unrelated to the current group. No systems were interrupted and no personal or critical data was compromised.
Agfa claims to maintain strict measures to protect its systems and data against any form of threat.

GIO compliance for Flint food packaging inks and varnishes

Flint Group has confirmed that all its inks and varnishes for packaging intended for food contact meet the compositional requirements of the German Printing Inks Ordinance (GIO), due to come into force on January 1, 2026.

This includes products designed for printing on the non-food side of materials, such as OneCode solvent inks, AquaCode water-based inks, Flexocure Ancora and EkoCureAncora UV flexo inks, as well as Novasens Prime offset inks and Novaset varnishes.

The 1,000th Speedmaster CX 104 configured in 14 groups

Heidelberg has just celebrated the production line launch of the 1,000th Speedmaster CX 104 press. Configured in 14 units, this UV offset press will be installed at the new Yancheng site of the Chinese Hoifu Group, which specializes in paper and cardboard packaging and employs 2,500 people.
With this investment, the Hoifu Group aims to conquer new markets in the premium packaging segment, particularly in the food, beverage and luxury tobacco sectors, says Heideleberg.
This is the third CX 104 for Hoifu, whose equipment is integrated into a complete Prinect workflow.

End of strike at Wefold

After seven days of mobilization, the 75 striking employees of Wefold (ex-Gault & Frémont), a paper and cardboard packaging specialist based in Saint-Pierre-des-Corps, Indre-et-Loire, have returned to work. The strike began on November 28 to protest the elimination of a 2,000-euro profit-sharing bonus, reports La Nouvelle République. A memorandum of understanding was finally signed, providing for an advance payment of 200 euros gross in December and the opening of negotiations on a "relaunch bonus" from January 2026.

According to The New Republic, had previously emphasized " that profit-sharing is a bonus calculated in direct relation to financial profitability", calling " to collective responsibility to meet the challenges ahead together".
