Aubin Imprimeur in receivership: the Commercial Court rules on the company's situation

Two months after being placed in receivership, Aubin Imprimeur was granted a continuation of its observation period, which should enable it to implement a "serious and credible" recovery plan.

Aubin Imprimeur, specialized in books, magazines and catalogs, remains under the protection of the Poitiers Commercial Court. Placed in receivership at the beginning of February, the century-old printing company, based in Ligugé in the Vienne region, today obtained the continuation of its observation period at the end of an interim hearing.

"This decision demonstrates that the company has kept its commitments over the past two months: full payment of our employees and suppliers, and compliance with the procedure by the company and its manager." says the company, which has 95 employees.

This decision enables the company, founded in 1891, to maintain its activity and continue working on a recovery plan "serious and credible" the plan will be submitted to the court-appointed administrator and then to employee representatives.

The company is also appealing to its customers for support. "The company's future depends, to a large extent, on maintaining its commercial activity" . "Continuing to deliver for our customers remains the top priority for this period" assures the company.

A 40% drop in sales

This difficult situation stems from a marked deterioration in business activity. Aubin Imprimeur expects sales to fall by more than 40% between 2022 and 2025, according to the company.

All segments are affected, from magazines and books to catalogs and packaging. This contraction is compounded by increased competitive pressure, particularly from Italian and Spanish printers, who are undercutting prices by up to 20%.

In order to be fully transparent with its employees, management is proposing an open meeting for all staff on March 31, to exchange views freely and answer any questions they may have.
