A New CEO at the Helm of Iropa

Maxime Lebourgeois has been appointed CEO of Iropa, based in Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray, in the Seine-Maritime department.
The offset and digital printing company is part of the Firopa Group, which comprises some 20 companies in the printing and graphic communications industries. Maxime Lebourgeois succeeds Laurent Crevel, who led Iropa for 20 years, as part of a transition planned within the group.

Ryan Yost Takes the Helm of Amcor's Flexible Packaging Division

Amcor, one of the world's largest packaging companies, has appointed Ryan Yost as president of its Global Flexible Packaging Solutions division. He succeeds Fred Stephan, who is retiring.
Based in the United States, Ryan Yost joins Amcor after 25 years at Avery Dennison, where he most recently led the Materials Group division. He will be responsible for the group's global flexible packaging operations.

Vincent Montagne Re-elected as President of the SNE

The National Publishers' Union (SNE), which represents French publishers, has reappointed Vincent Montagne as its president for a two-year term.

As chairman of the Média-Participations group, he will continue the work already underway on several issues facing the industry, including the protection of copyright in the face of generative artificial intelligence, the regulation of the used book market, and the fight against piracy.
Among the upcoming projects are the July 1 launch of Scapin, an anti-piracy system, and the launch of Livrempreinte, a carbon calculator for publishers.

The SNE also elected a new board, which includes representatives from several major publishing groups, including Hachette Livre, Editis, Madrigall, Albin Michel, Actes Sud, Bayard, Glénat, and L'École des loisirs.

Pro Carton has elected its new president

Pro Carton, the European association of flatboard and solid board manufacturers, has appointed Andreas Birmoser as its president. As executive director of Stora Enso?s flatboard business, he succeeds Michele Bianchi, CEO of the RDM Group, who had held the position for four years.

Andreas Birmoser has more than 20 years of experience in the pulp, paper, and cardboard industries. Before joining Stora Enso, he served as CEO of the Brazilian pulp producer Veracel Celulose.
As head of Pro Carton, he will work with the association?s board of directors on issues related to the industry?s competitiveness, European regulations, and the promotion of fiber-based packaging.

Cap Re-Elects Jean-Marc Lebhar as President

Cap, the French Federation of Cardboard and Stationery Products, re-elected Jean-Marc Lebhar as president for a three-year term . At a general meeting held on June 23, the members also approved a revision of the organization's bylaws.
The federation, which represents 300 manufacturers?including 120 members spread across nearly 500 production sites?hopes to strengthen the representativeness of its governing bodies and restructure its regional organization around affiliated regional groups.

Following the general meeting, Franz Thibault was appointed vice president and Philippe Chapron was appointed treasurer. The executive committee also includes Dieter Allitsch, Christine-Noëlle Baudin, Rodolphe Degenne, Stéphane Hamelin, and Alban Hodent.
