Asteria Group, which reported revenue of 492 million euros in the labels and packaging sector, is adding a new facility to its Dutch network. The Belgian company is acquiring GT Etiketten & Labels, a label manufacturer based in Schoonebeek, the Netherlands.
The industrial appeal of the acquisition stems in particular from the processes carried out at the site. GT Etiketten uses digital and UV-LED flexographic printing with up to eight colors and also manufactures blank labels in-house. The manufacturer primarily serves the food, beverage, and cosmetics industries. GT Etiketten also produces more technical label designs, including duo-layer labels.

Schoonebeek also complements the production facilities that Asteria already has in the Netherlands. "Their expertise adds real value to our capabilities in the Netherlands, while their location geographically strengthens our network." , says Ives Declerck, CEO of Asteria Group.
This acquisition in the Netherlands comes two months after the acquisition of Mercian Labels in the United Kingdom. Founded in Belgium in 1985, Asteria now has 42 production sites. "Asteria aims to become the leading local partner in the European labeling and packaging market (...) by 2030" ", he announces on his website.
