Manroland Sheetfed: What's Changing for Customers with Heidelberg

Heidelberg details the initial effects of the integration of Manroland Sheetfed's service operations. For printers, this integration is intended to ensure both continuity of after-sales service and access to Heidelberg's global network.

For printers equipped with Manroland Sheetfed presses, the integration of service operations at Heidelberg is beginning to take shape. The main phases of the operation are scheduled to be completed over the next eighteen months, with one priority: ensuring continuity of after-sales service for Manroland Sheetfed customers. These customers will retain their usual points of contact and the existing service teams, while the supply of replacement parts and consumables will continue.

This integration should also give them access to Heidelberg's global service and sales network, which is now the largest in the industry. Printers should also benefit from shorter response times.

A Joint After-Sales Service for Heidelberg and Manroland Sheetfed Equipment

One printing company is already operating under this new organizational structure. In Frankfurt, Germany, Druck-und Verlagshaus Zarbock?which employs about 60 people?was already relying on Heidelberg for prepress, its Stahlfolder folders, and two Versafire digital printing systems.
Heidelberg's after-sales service now also covers its two Manroland sheetfed presses. The most recent one, in fact, was installed jointly by technicians from both manufacturers.

"For us, what matters is the reliability and speed of support. The collaboration between Heidelberg and Manroland Sheetfed has worked very well from the start. The expansion of services and long-term security allow us to look to the future with great optimism. From now on, we will benefit from a single point of contact for the entire company, which will further enhance our efficiency." , explains Ralf Zarbock, CEO.

This will allow the printer to use a single network for prepress, digital and offset printing, and finishing.

"The example of Zarbock illustrates the added value that this integration brings to our customers: proven technology, dedicated points of contact, and the strength of the industry's largest global sales and service network, says David Schmedding, a member of Heidelberg's Executive Board responsible for technology and sales. "This is how we guarantee them increased productivity, optimal availability, and assured longevity."

Heidelberg Begins Converting Manroland Customers

The merger is also beginning to have an impact on existing fleets. According to Heidelberg, Manroland Sheetfed customers have already invested in Heidelberg presses in Germany, Brazil, and Malta.

Eventually, Manroland Sheetfed users should also have access to Heidelberg?s lineup of presses and finishing systems, in addition to services and consumables.

As a reminder, At the end of June, Heidelberg completed the acquisition of Manroland Sheetfed's maintenance operations, as well as its sales and service subsidiaries. , which was then undergoing insolvency proceedings under court protection. The operational integration of these activities is now continuing within the German automaker
