Change in leadership in St. Gallen. Michael Bsirske will serve as interim president starting in November, while his predecessor will assume the chairmanship of the board of directors in January 2027.

Dario Urbinati will step down as CEO of Gallus, Heidelberg?s Swiss subsidiary, on November 1, 2026. The manufacturer of conventional and digital narrow-web presses will temporarily entrust its leadership to Michael Bsirske, currently the group?s chief financial officer.

This change therefore does not mark the departure of Dario Urbinati, who has led the group since late 2022. Dario Urbinati will join the Gallus Board of Directors, where he will assume the chairmanship on January 1, 2027.
"I felt it was time to step back from day-to-day operational responsibilities, while continuing to support Gallus in the areas of long-term strategy, innovation, and relationships with key clients." ", he explains.

Michael Bsirske will take over on an interim basis. Michael Bsirske has held several executive positions at Gallus and Heidelberg, as well as in the technology, industrial, and professional services sectors.

The reorganization also affects the sales department. As of October 1, Uwe Boerner has assumed the role of global sales manager while continuing to serve as key account manager. He succeeds Thomas Schweizer, who is leaving Gallus to pursue a new career.

"The transformation process Gallus has undertaken in recent years has been a real success, and I am extremely proud of the work accomplished by the entire team." , says Dario Urbinati.

Ferdinand Rüesch, Heidelberg's largest shareholder and a former member of its supervisory board, adds: "Dario played a pivotal role in shaping Gallus's strategy and business model as we know them today. I am delighted that, through his new role, his extensive experience and his global perspective on our industry will continue to be a valuable asset to Gallus."

The manufacturer, which employs 300 people, is currently expanding its digital offerings?particularly around the Gallus One and Gallus Five presses?in addition to its existing product lines. It is also continuing to expand its presence in India and to develop its Gallus Experience Center, located in St. Gallen, Switzerland, which is entirely dedicated to connected printing and the digital transformation of narrow-web printing.
