"This machine technically finalizes our shift to POP." congratulates Ludovic Charasse, co-director of Ambiance Graphique - La Rochelaise. Taken over in January 2019 by the La Rochelaise group, the Seri 3 printing works has added the production of POS advertising to its portfolio. Located in Bressuire in the Deux-Sèvres region, the 13-person company was previously specialised solely in signage (for more details on this reorientation, read A new page for the Seri 3 print shop ).
Last spring, the printing house acquired a cutting table and this summer a large-format printer, Agfa's Jeti Tauro H2500, replaced older generation machines from another manufacturer. This 2.5 m wide hybrid printer is configured in 4 colors plus white with automated output.
"Agfa's Bullfighting allows us to pass multiple supports. We mainly use Akilux and above all cardboard, the preferred medium for POS, details Ludovic Charasse. Today, we print at 200 m 2 /h, but we still have some margin in terms of capacity (the machine can reach 275 m 2 /h), whereas before we were limited to 100 m 2 /h." And thanks to the automation of this new machine park, the printing works can work in 3x8.
