Please note: the exhibition that was supposed to take place next May is cancelled. Messe Düsseldorf postpones it to 2021.

The Fespa the Drupa ...it is now the turn of Interpack 2020 to be postponed. The packaging trade fair, which was scheduled to take place from Thursday, May 7 to Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at the Düsseldorf Trade Fair Centre in Düsseldorf, Germany, will take place from May 7 to 13, 2020 from Thursday 25 February to Wednesday 3 March 2021 ...still in Düsseldorf. The trade fair, which is normally held every three years, had 2,865 exhibitors and 170,500 visitors from more than 170 countries at the previous edition.

Messe Düsseldorf, the organizer of Interpack and also of the graphic arts trade fair Drupa, is thus following the recommendation of the crisis management team of the German Federal Government and the Robert Koch Institute in view of the significant increase in the number of people infected with the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) in Europe.

"The decision was made in close consultation with our advisory board and our sponsors." Werner M. Dornscheidt, President of Messe Düsseldorf, said in a statement. It also reflects the wishes of different industries. As partners, we are currently doing everything in our power to reduce the economic losses suffered by our exhibitors." .

"Interpack is the must-attend event for the international packaging industry and associated processing industries. The exhibition is based on personal encounters and direct exchanges between people from all over the world", adds Christian Traumann, President of Interpack 2020 and CEO of the Multivac packaging machine group.

He adds: " This is only possible if there is no health risk. Therefore, deferral is responsible and fair. We look forward to next year's event to discuss issues that define the industry, such as sustainability, and to present appropriate solutions".
