Xeikon Unveils Sirius Dry Toner Technology

The manufacturer has rethought its entire dry toner printing technology to come up with a new generation that is more versatile in terms of media, faster and less expensive.

The digital press manufacturer, a subsidiary of Flint Group, presents its new generation of dry toner printing technology, Sirius. From June 2020, the first press equipped with Sirius will be on the market, the SX30000 printing machine.

"What sets Sirius technology apart from other technologies is its ability to print at high speed on thick media." according to Dimitri Van Gaever, market manager at Xeikon. Sirius would also offer a lower cost of ownership and higher print quality according to the manufacturer.

"We pioneered dry toner technology, and we are constantly looking for new opportunities to improve it and multiply its benefits, assures Dimitri Van Gaever.

For this technology, Xeikon has reviewed toner development, imaging technology, fusing technology and media processing. "All these key elements have been redesigned to offer superior quality, market-leading performance, unmatched durability, the widest range of applications and the best total cost of ownership in its class."

Its name, Sirius, comes from the brightest star. It is a "refers to her historic role as a guide, as she helped people from the most varied cultures to navigate and find their way. We believe that this platform will set the stage for a profitable business for both our current and future clients." advances the manufacturer.
