Imagine the packaging of tomorrow's products with the #LABELicious 2020 contest

The federation is launching its European competition dedicated to students and young professionals in the packaging and label market.

Finat, the European association of the self-adhesive label industry, is launching the second edition of its #LABELicious competition.

This label and packaging design competition is aimed at students and young professionals from all over Europe between the ages of 18 and 25.

The brief developed specifically for this competition involves a manufacturer of sustainable consumer products, Humandate, which in 2025 will launch a new brand focused on the empowerment and well-being of senior consumers.

The label design competition brief: an understanding between generations

Humandate is a new manufacturer that develops new generation consumer products in various product categories (food, beverages, body care and health) by seeking the best possible balance between product quality, preservation of natural resources and the minimal impact of human activities on the planet.

"We are challenging the youngest generation of label and packaging designers to design a smart, creative and sustainable packaging and label line for our next product line that is targeted at senior consumers, explains Humandate in his brief . You'll have to combine the physical characteristics of this consumer group with your creativity and technical knowledge."

Schools invited to involve their students

The 2019 edition demonstrated that the collaboration between companies and schools has been rich in exchanges between different professionals in the label industry, and between different generations. The association invites educational institutions to include the #LABELicious contest in their 2020/2021 curriculum.

And maybe a European winner of the international competition

Entries must be submitted by 29 January 2021 and the announcement of the 2020 winners is scheduled for 26 February 2021.
All successful entries will be selected for the #LABELicious international edition in 2021, and will be available for display at Labelexpo 2021 in Brussels, Belgium.
