A 21-year-old turns a page at Siegwerk

Nicolas Wiedmann succeeds Herbert Forker as CEO of Siegwerk.

Herbert Forker, 63, who has been at the helm of Siegwerk for 21 years, is retiring from his position on 31 March 2021. The German ink manufacturer, which will achieve sales of 1.16 billion euros in 2019, will then be led by Nicolas Wiedmann, 47, who previously held the position of Managing Director Special Applications for the business segment of the German automotive supplier Hella. He will join Siegwerk on 1 January 2021 and will become CEO upon the departure of Herbert Forker.

Nicolas Wiedmann, Doctor of Physics, has many years of experience in managing international companies and implementing transformation processes. In addition to his position at Hella, he has held management positions at Kautex Textron, a German automotive supplier and producer of plastic packaging, and Johnson Controls Automotive Europe in Germany.

During his tenure at the management consulting firm McKinsey & Company in Düsseldorf, Germany, he led international teams of consultants and clients in the automotive, high technology and TIME sectors (telecommunications, information technology, media and electronics).

"I intend to continue the transformation process led by Herbert Forker and seize new opportunities in the dynamic packaging industry, said the future CEO of Siegwerk. I'm also looking forward to meeting more 5?000 'Siegwerkers' around the world and getting to know my new management team."
