McDonald's unveiled its new packaging line: hamburger boxes, French fry boxes, hamburger wrappers, cups... all the packaging in the fast food chain has been redesigned.
The first images of this new series do not show any change in the shape of the packaging, the changes lie in the graphics: McDonald's has chosen minimalist illustrations, "simple, bold graphics" which are "funny winks" to the food they contain, indicates the brand in a press release.
The Big Mac box shows the different layers of the sandwich in a simplified way, while the Filet-O-Fish burger is recognizable by its blue lines evoking the waves of the sea. The case of the apple turnover (the Apple Pie) is printed with a solid green and red apples. Drinking cups have squares symbolizing ice cubes, and the pastry bag has a "missing bite of cookie" . The paper bag for take-away sales should be available in several models, decorated with sesame seeds or French fries. As for perhaps the brand's most emblematic packaging, the French fry box, it is soberly illustrated on a red background with the McDonald's logo.
The new packaging will replace the packaging deployed in 2016 in all markets around the world over the next two years.
