Flint Group creates a new division, XSYS

The combination of the two divisions is expected to strengthen the offering of complete solutions for the flexographic and letterpress industries.

Flint Group launches XSYS, a brand new division born from the merger of Flint Group Flexographic and Xeikon Prepress. Flint Group Flexographic was the flexo and letterpress division and Xeikon Prepress, the prepress division of the xeikon Group, which Flint acquired at the end of 2015 .

Based in Stuttgart, Germany, XSYS, whose slogan is "Be Brilliant", is subdivided into three entities: Plates, Sleeves and Prepress equipment, respectively dedicated to plates, sleeves and prepress equipment.

The two divisions of the Luxembourg group, which will have a turnover of 2 billion euros in 2019, were already working closely together, but their merger is for Flint "a milestone" in line with its goal of becoming a total solutions provider for the flexographic prepress industry, according to Dagmar Schmidt, President of XSYS.

"By forming this new division, we bring together what goes together: plates, processing equipment (with and without solvent), imagers, plate sleeves and interleavers", she says.

The name of the XSYS division is formed by the X present in ThermoFlexX, Nyloflex, Xpress and other brands of the group and by the abbreviation of the name Systems.

The XSYS product and brand portfolio consists of Nyloflex flexographic and thermal solvent plates and equipment, Nyloprint plates and letterpress equipment, Nylosolv solvents, Rotec sleeves and interleaves, ThermoFlexX TfxX flexo CTP and additional Catena ThermoFlexX plate processing equipment.
