The Belgian printing group Evadix announces that it has sold 68.62% of its capital on 10 February 2021. The three children of founder Pascal Leurquin who passed away last year have sold their share to the Belgian investment holding company Whitestone Parteners.
Evadix, founded in 1999, has been a key player in the printing and direct marketing businesses. Until 2016, it owned the famous rotary offset printing company Casterman Printing, which was linked to the comic book publisher Tintin d'Hergé, Hugo Pratt's Corto Maltese and Enki Bilal's albums.
In 2010, Evadix splits from Evadix Etibel, specialized in the manufacture and printing of labels, the casterman Printing is sold to the court bar in 2016 and in 2018, Evadix will sell its last industrial assets, located in Romania and dedicated to flexo and extrusion. Today, Evadix has no more activities.
"Evadix welcomes the arrival of Whitestone Partners, a new reference shareholder which should help the company's redeployment" commented the group.
Holding more than 50% of the shares, Whitestone is obliged to launch a takeover bid for all voting or voting rights bearing securities issued by Evadix that are not yet in its possession. 0.13 per share, corresponding to the price paid by Whitestone for the shares already in its possession at the end of the acquisition. This price is 4.4% higher than the weighted average trading price of Evadix shares on Euronext.
With the takeover of Evadix, Whitestone Partners, created in 2012, has a sixth investment platform, the project of which will be detailed in the prospectus as part of the offering.
