One more award for the Finnish company that develops sustainable packaging solutions to combat plastic pollution.

The Paptic Tringa sleeve was awarded at the Worldstar Packaging Awards. A new award for the Finnish company Paptic, created in 2015, which presents itself as a pioneer in the fight against plastic pollution.

The Paptic Tringa packaging solution for e-commerce is a flexible cellulose based, recyclable, moisture resistant, printable and easily convertible with existing packaging production lines. The company that compares this material with corrugated cardboard explains that it takes up less space and is quicker to fill and close. Another special feature is that it is pleasant to the touch and makes no creaking noises.

The first user of Paptic Tringa packaging is the Finnish supermarket chain Stockmann. "?Stockmann has replaced its plastic e-commerce envelopes with premium Tringa touch-sensitive Paptic Tringa. The feedback from consumers has been encouraging, which greatly enhances Stockmann's contribution to sustainable action. In addition, feedback from the logistics centre has been positive - the material is easy and convenient to pack and close.?»

Paptic wants to offer a sustainable alternative to plastic films in packaging. Only a few years old, it already has customers in about thirty countries, including Galeries Lafayette in France.

The Paptic material, a contraction of "?paper?" and "?plastic?", comes from a technology patented in 2014 called "?foam-forming?". The water traditionally used for papermaking is replaced by foam. Both durable and highly versatile, the material is a great success with industrialists.
