Printers from around the world in the screen printing, large format digital printing and signage industries have until January 25 to enter the Fespa Awards 2023 printing competition.
For this new edition, 17 main categories will be rewarded such as posters, packaging, POP, special effects on textiles, cardboard, plastic, textiles, decals or even non-printed signage.
Each entry will be judged according to specific criteria: excellence in execution (image definition and sharpness, color), appropriate use of techniques, design, media and creativity in application and innovation.
Young people between the ages of 16 and 25 can apply for the Young Star Award category. To do so, they must be students or trainees in digital printing, screen printing or design in one of the print-related categories.
All the achievements will also compete for four other awards. The People's Choice Award is awarded by the public after a vote by Internet users. The Best in Show Award and Judges Award for Innovation are chosen by the Festa Awards judges.
The fourth award is new for this edition. The Sustainability Award is awarded according to environmental criteria such as possible reuse and recycling of the product, life cycle analysis, reduction of material use.
The winners will be announced on May 24, during the Fespa Global Print Expo, which will be held from May 23 to 26, 2023 at Messe Munich in Germany.
