Lechat printing company gives a second life to advertising tarpaulins

Advertising tarpaulins have many qualities that can be used for all kinds of purposes.

How can we recycle the large format advertising that is omnipresent in our society? The Lechat printing company has found the answer. Difficult to recycle because of their composition (a mixture of textile and plastic), advertising tarpaulins nevertheless have many qualities as a material, such as waterproofness, solidity, or flexibility. Qualities that can be used for many purposes and especially bags!

This is the excellent idea of the Lechat printing company and the Active association who have joined forces to recycle advertising tarpaulins into bags. The printing company takes care of the cleaning of the tarpaulins and entrusts the design of the bags to the association.

Unique pieces sold for the benefit of the association Active

Based in Tours, the Lechat printing company specializes in small and large format printing and produces more than 2,500 m2 of advertising banners per year. For this project, it turned to the Active Association, which promotes the economic and social integration of people who are far from employment. Each bag comes from a part of an advertising support and is therefore a unique piece. The bags are sold for the benefit of the association.

Advertising tarpaulins, a material with high potential

The initiative of the Lechat printing company echoes other projects that we have already had the opportunity to talk about on Graphiline. For example, the Ecopack Solutions company which proposes a packaging made from recycled advertising tarpaulins. Or the intelligent advertising tarpaulin called theBreathe, which is supposed to help improve air quality by absorbing pollution. In a context where sustainability is more and more requested by the general public and promoted by industries, no doubt that similar approaches continue to emerge.
