Cloitre Imprimeurs appoints a "Print Explorer

Thierry Gourbet, the Print Exploreur of the company, presents us his new functions.

Always a little off the beaten track, the Breton printing company Cloître, headed by Christophe Dudit, has come up with a new position: the Print Explorer. The 110-employee company has coined this neologism, in line with its signature Print Différent, to define the specialist in complex project support.

Endorsed by Thierry Gourbet, the function of Print Explorer is a hybrid of several traditional positions, at the same time head of the design studio for the creative part, head of manufacturing for the technical part and responsible for the R & D for the technological innovations.

The Print Exploreur, Thierry Gourbet, formerly on the Cloître sales team, explains: "I'm here to answer complicated requests from our customers and come up with solutions also in media, printing, finishing or design."

Today, he is working, among other things, on a high-end restaurant menu that the customer wants to move away from the classic cards or on a set of sheets with stickers. "I have to come up with a shape to contain them and how to tell the recipient how the adhesives work."

Through its monitoring of suppliers, the Print Explorer is also the printing industry's reference for new printing media. "I'm testing and sampling these new media."

Thierry Gourbet is also in charge of the communication prints of the printing house. "My first mission was to realize this year's greeting card . It was a bit of a test by the way!"

"In a period where print must, once again, renew itself and demonstrate all its interest in a communication strategy, this new function must allow Cloître's clients to benefit from a high value-added service and an increased expertise in order to develop the innovative aspect of their print media" adds Marie-Claire Franchet, Director of Communications.
