Printed advertising material

Unaddressed print advertising production fell by 18% and billing by 20% in 2020 compared to 2019, Idep reveals. However, the organization highlights a slight improvement in the last quarter with a 15% decrease.

As far as addressed advertising prints are concerned, their production decreased by almost 20% in 2020, with no improvement in the last quarter.

Foreign trade in printed advertising materials has also been strongly impacted by the health crisis, with imports down 38% and exports down 25%.

Commercial catalogs

Catalog production was down 14 percent in 2020 compared to 2019. But like most other markets, the difference between 2020 and 2019 is narrowing with each passing quarter, d'Idep points out. For example, fourth-quarter trade catalog production was down 10 percent in 2020 compared to the previous year.

In terms of foreign trade in catalogs, exports that were up 1% in 2019 fell 30% in 2020. The volume of imported catalogs declined by 21%, while it had increased by 21% in 2019.
