Equipped with two paper machines, the French factory also produces dyed flat cardboard and celloderms. Gmund Papier, founded in 1829, now operates four machines.

"There will be absolutely no changes planned for either company. The 20 jobs at Jean's Cartonnerie have been retained." says the paper company, which now has 135 employees.

"We were looking for a manufacturer with exceptionally environmentally friendly production and with many years of experience in the field of colored recycled paper." explains Florian Kohler and Herbert Eibach, co-CEOs of Gmund. "With this acquisition, we become the specialist for particularly environmentally friendly packaging applications in Europe."
