A seventh production facility joins the Polyart family. The French group acquires Glatfelter Caerphilly, a Welsh manufacturer of metallized label papers.

Polyart is acquiring Glatfelter Caerphilly from Magnera Corporation. The French manufacturer of technical films and papers for the specialty label, digital printing, and display markets is thus adding a British plant specializing in metallized label substrates to its industrial network.

Glatfelter Caerphilly, which employs 44 people, is changing its name to Polyart Metallised UK effective today, June 15. The manufacturer uses metallization and coating technologies to produce substrates for self-adhesive and wet-glue labels. Its main markets include alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, food products, gift wrapping paper, and beer bottles.

Polyart is thus rounding out its portfolio of high-end label substrates by adding a new business line that operates in both the pressure-sensitive and wet-glue segments. "This acquisition reinforces our commitment to providing comprehensive, high-end labeling solutions, while fostering sustainable growth for our customers and stakeholders." , said Stéphane Daveau, CEO of Polyart Group.

Founded in 2020 by the Merger of Arjobex, MDV, Tech Folien, Reisewitz, and Polyart employs 280 people and has revenue of 83 million euros. Headquartered in Boulogne-Billancourt in the Hauts-de-Seine department, the group now has seven production sites in France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Polyart also has a subsidiary in India as well as sales offices in Singapore and Shanghai.
