US labeling and functional materials supplier Avery Dennison has announced the acquisition of Rietveld. The Netherlands-based company is now part of Avery Dennison's Retail Branding and Information Solutions (RBIS) apparel solutions division.
Established in 1985, Rietveld is a leading provider of embellishment and printing solutions for performance sports brands and team sportswear in Europe. The acquisition is expected to provide Avery Dennison and Rietveld with "interesting opportunities to conquer new segments and explore additional capacities, thus stimulating the growth of the embellishment market", says the American.
