Creating color samples can be a time-consuming manual process. To simplify this step, Hubergroup now offers a new feature to its Hubergroup HDCC (Hubergroup Digital Colour Communication) color management system: based on GMG Group's ColorCard technology, color samples can be printed digitally. This makes color processing faster, but also less expensive and location-independent, according to the German printing ink manufacturer.
"Our tests have shown that our digitally printed colorimetric presentations are very convincing in terms of color accuracy, reproducibility and lightfastness, says Heinz Aumüller, Head of Prepress and Standardization Process at Hubergroup. We can process them much faster than their analog predecessors. This also allows for faster production and more flexibility for our customers."
He adds: "Colorimetric sampling is fully integrated with our in-house developed HDCC color management system. As a result, it is verified based on the final physical match and follows the same verification rules as analog print sampling to ensure the high quality standards our customers expect from us."
